New Line of Designer Rings from Ultra Carbon Fiber

Press Release:
Today we are excited to inject a dose of technology into a jewelry industry plagued by traditional materials. Until today this technology was known internally as “Anti-Crush” construction. As the name implies this technology allows us to build a ring that is optimized to resist relatively high crushing loads. A unique aspect of multi layer fibrous composite construction (mlfcc) is that we have the ability to design strength in any direction required. Traditional metals offer equal strength in all directions. When the weight of the ring is accounted for (about 1 gram) we end up with a ring that is many times stronger than metal rings. We decided it wasn’t enough to simply use materials common to the aerospace industry, we are using the same design principles. Is it overkill? Probably. Is it an eleven on the cool technology scale? Most definitely! Anti-Crush technology was first discussed after a phone call between our company president, Adam Weeks, and a loyal customer. Our customer was working on a Navy base when a heavy metal plate was dropped directly onto his hand. Luckily he was wearing one of our rings! The ring cracked but it saved his hand from taking the initial impact. Now our rings are designed to take that sort of impact. We have no plans to ask our customer to re-create the event wearing one of our new rings.
