Winn-Dixie Stores will introduce new reusable grocery bag just in time for Earth Day. The bag, made from 95 percent recycled material, features Microban antibacterial protection which actively protects the bag from stain- and odor- causing bacteria, and continuously stops the growth of new bacteria. Winn-Dixie is the first retailer in the Southeast to offer this built-in technology which will not wash off or wear away for the lifetime of the bag.

“We are committed to increasing and enhancing our sustainability efforts in every area of our operation,” said Robin Miller, Winn-Dixie’s director of communications. “Our customers and our Associates are passionate about the environment and very supportive of our programs and initiatives. It’s all part of being a good neighbor on both a local and global level.”
